|  The Herons Pool Leisure Complex was built in 1995 in William Street Car Park and also incorporates Kavanagh Cinema and Local Council Offices. Herons Swimming Pool offers a wide range of swimming activities including Family Fun, Parties, Adults Only, Early Morning Swims, Water Fitness Classes and Flume. Kavanagh Cinema is an independant "Realtime" Cinema with two screens showing the latest films and also regularly shows special previews before general release dates. The complex brought the Cinema back to the town after the Odeon left in the 1980's and is equiped with Dolby Digital Surround in its main screen.
