Herne Mill is situated on Beacon Hill and can be seen on the approach from London on the A299. It is a traditional Kentish Smock Mill and has just completed an extensive restoration of the sweeps making the mill look once again complete. The second photo is The Huntsman & Horn seen across Broomfield Pond. The area around here is the historical part of Broomfield and still retains its village post office. The area is currently being developed by a number of housing companies resulting in two new housing estates consisting of starter homes through to detached executive houses.
