The Clocktower

Herne Bay Clock tower dominates the seafront standing 80 ft high in the gardens protected by Neptune's Arm.

The tower was given to the town in 1837 by a wealthy Londoner who thought she was immortal. It is believed to be the first ever purpose built, free standing Clock tower in the World.
