This Wetherspoons, The Saxon Shore, allows children in the restaurant area so long as they are eating a main meal and they have left before 7pm. Food and drink is good value for money as in all pubs in the chain and the place gets packed at weekends in the summer months. They also have outdoor seating at the front and back of the building. Although this is obviously a huge corporate place the staff are always friendly and the prices good and cheap. The food is always good and comes quickly. Cafe Latino brings a modern clean coffee shop/cafe to Herne Bay. The cafe is clean and bright and serves a wide range of meals and snacks including salads, jacket potatoes, panini, baguettes and a selection of freshly made coffees, teas, milkshakes and smoothies. hernebayonline.co.uk Latino's is an excellent place to sit and have a coffee and snack. It is so clean and the only place I have found in Herne bay that is completely non-smoking. Wonderful. Most of the other cafes look dirty and smokey. The food is delicious and the staff very helpful. I am sure it would be packed if others knew it existed. Please don't close down. Advertise more, not too much or I won't be able to get in! Well done! The Ship Inn is a family run pub serving real ales and with an extensive menu catering for all tastes, with Chefs Specials changing weekly. We also have local caught lobster to order. We are open all day, serving food from 12 - 3pm Monday to Saturday, 12 - 3.30pm Sunday and 7 - 9pm Sunday to Wednesday and 7 - 9.45 Thursday Friday & Saturday. Booking is recommended so as not to be disappointed.We can cater for celebration parties, office parties etc Children are welcome although under 14s have to be out by 9pm. Dogs are also welcome! Located on the Sea Front to the West towards The Kings Hall with sea views this Enterprise Inns Plc pub serves food in the restaurant area. The pub has a traditional feel with candles in bottles and old shipping memorabilia. This is the only Indian restturant to eat in in Herne Bay!!! Excellent food, good service, they have always offered us a free drinnk at the end of the night. May look a little grotty from the outside (although I think they have just done it up a little!) but inside it is very clean and the food is wonderful. Creamy curries and good fresh ingredients. Take away good too, very prompt. Mrs R Westbury The Gandhi does by far the nicest Indian cuisine for miles around. The are very clean and quick and the food is so lovely, I was recommended it when I moved over here from Whitstable and now I have to pass this recommendation on. Also if you order take away and pick it up which is always quicker, and get there 5 minutes early they give you a free drink whilst you wait.

Pinks is a welcome addition to Herne Bay. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the staff are very friendly. On the night we visited they had live music (which we confused for a Shadows CD!) and a party in the main restaurant area. We were seated in the pleasent upper level. They serve a varied mainly Medeteranian menu including salads, steaks, pasta & pizza dishes. They offer a "Early Bird" menu which is good value for money.
